Halley Suitt from TP Times expresses more concerns about the community topic. More and more, we have to make a conscious effort to connect with people. Especially those of us who are “introverts” and enjoy the alone time. We are prone to lose ourselves in our own world rather than invest in other people sharing love, compassion, and mercy.

I'm one of the pastors at First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky where I've served for the past twelve years. My wife Susan and I have three children: Madelyn, Marshall and Melisa. When we aren't attending a ballet or ballgame somewhere, you can find us...oh who am I kidding... this season of life always finds us at a ballgame (Marshall and Melisa) or a ballet (somewhat less now that Madelyn is living in Anapolis, MD.). The sub-title of this blog is "Grace is no accident" which happens to be the defining reality of my life. God's grace (gift) is the reason we have breathe in our lungs and hope in our hearts.
