A quote from William Wrigley Jr.

“When two men in business always agree, one of them is unnecessary.” – William Wrigley Jr.

You might have chewed a stick or two of Mr. Wrigley’s life’s work. I am on this kick about healthy conflict because I believe we have too much group think going on inside our organizations and our churches. Healthy conversation where two people do not agree is the way we build trust in our organizations. And besides, it is my contention that consensus is not how the Kingdom of God works. Love, patience, perseverance, and courage are what God uses to bring about the Kingdom on earth.

What I hope to be saying is that we should not be demoralized when people disagree with us, but we should take that opportunity to re-examine, clarify what God is saying to us. If necessary make changes or more likely re-double our efforts and resolve.
